Dolling up an Office Chair

Oh Goodness can you believe the Where Women Create Party is almost here!?  I thought I would have all kinds of time since I started creating a space in February...... well here it is July and of course I am not nearly ready!   Since it is White Wednesday I thought I would share one of  my new whites in the Creative Space.

I finally finished my office chair redo that I had started  several months ago- yes,I seem to be working at a snails pace, or like my Father in law states when he gets ready to leave, "off like a herd of turtles!"

Here is a little teaser of a picture for my  chair- Isn't it pretty!

And here she is from the front complete with a sweet bee graphic via sweet Karen at The Grapics Fairy.
I have been dying to use this graphic as I am a  wanna be beekeeper. I say wanna bee because though I have 4 hives,I still am mostly clueless about these babies except for the fact that I love them and their yummy honey they provide me!
I used a pillow case with lace edging for the top slipcover part. I had intended on just measuring the length after slipping it over the chair back and then sewing and cutting off the extra.  When I put it on I had all this extra fabric and thought to my self "Self you can surely do something with this - and so a rose was born!
She was pretty but thought I would dress her up just a tad more-

A pretty  brooch in my bling bling tray came  to play center stage.
Kind of feel like a queen on her throne when I sit here now!

Well ladies I need to get going if you are going to be seeing any pictures of this room later this week.  Hope this will tempt you to come back and take a lookie at my creative space!
Edited to add-
have my creative space post up HERE if you would like to look!

You are getting there!! It's looking great. Busy week here as we are taking Wyatt each day to Pueblo for a LEGO robotics class at the college. He's having a great time. Bob drove him today and I stayed home so Caitlin could help me clean house and bake. She is such a great help now that she is 15 -- of course, I help with her fun money supply. Win-win situation. The rain sure has been nice - hope it continues. Take care. Sally
