Project Inspiration and The Ugly Start of Feathering My Nest

So most have figured out my latest project but a few are still trying to figure it out so here are a few more inspiration hints-

Yup its a creative space for moi!!
Actually it's more accurately a creative closet but hey you work with what you have!
We use all 4 of our guestrooms for ministry and entertaining so I don't feel like I can take over one whole room. But one room has a huge quadruple door area and am hoping I can make it work!

Warning next pictures are the ugly part- what isbehind door #1?
Actually this is more like what's behind doors 2 & 3. Right in middle of closet is a dresser -

This is all the stuff behind all 4 of those doors taken out.   How in the world did all that stuff get packed in there I will never know!
1
I had this great idea that I wanted to put my sewing table in the middle of the closet so the dresser needed to come out. Easy Peasy I thought.  My hubby ended up having to literally tear the dresser completely apart to get it out of there!
Well here it is in all of its mustard yellow glory with everything out-
Who ever picked that yellow color out must have been color blind!

Well there's the ugly of my project and I actually have some more ugly to show but let you have a reprieve and show you more inspiration pictures that I have Pinned  for this project.

Oh 1 more thing- I still am not sure about what is happening with Google Friends but have the new linky on sidebar and would love to have you sign up there so we don't loose each other-

I can't wait to see your new space. We turned the closet in a spare room into my sewing area. I haven't showed photos on my blog but it's really a neat place to work. Love your inspiration photos!

Wow - you really have your hands full Mary. It is a wonder how you got it all in that closet. That would be a very overwhelming project for me right now since I'm running low on ehergy these days. I am really excited about seeing it all done. Take you time and do it exactly like you want it to be. I love those cards covered with vintage wall paper with the lace wrapped around them. So pretty. Wouldn't it be fun to work in such a pretty surrounding as those pictures. Hope you are well.

Hi Mary,
I'd love to help you clean out that closet. That is, if I can keep all that I like! LOL!

I see lots of pretties and I know your space will look wonderful.

looks alot like my spare bedroom closet! I wish I had room in there for my sewing machine so I could just roll it out and go.

I love your inspiration pictures, Mary! I'm sure it will look really lovely once you are done. I had a space in my garage for a couple of years and then when we moved I got an actual room. It is supposed to be a storage room, but I took it over! : ) I'm looking forward to Karen's linky party, too. It usually motivates me to get organized.

Oh my what gorgeous inspiration!

My friend I would like to ask that you cover my family in prayer on Thursday, March 1, at around 1:30pm. Our family continues to be tested and we are standing strong in our faith.

Yes, you need a space for yourself and projects. That closet reminds of people packed in a phone booth or a car..that was a lot of stuff! Oh, I would love to look at it all. What a fun project!

I wouldn't have guessed correctly in a million years...but I'm thrilled for you to have your own creative space! The inspiration photos are gorgeous...but you have tremendous creativity. I know your design will WoW us through the transformation! I'll be back for the reveal!

The most difficult part is the STARTING of any project- look what you have accomplished! How exciting!

This is (eventually) going to be an absoutely fabulous reveal! Whoo hoo!

Keep up the good work, can't wait - how awesome to have your very own craft room space. It's going to be GREAT!

This looks like what I was doing two weeks ago. I bagged up so many things and had my hubby take it all to St. Vinnie's. I'm not making a craft room, but at least I got the closet cleaned out!

Okay Mary! How did you sneak into my craft area closet and take those pictures? I am telling you, your closet looks like mine does right now! So, when you are done beautifing your closet, you can just head straight over here and do mine! LOL I hope you are having a wonderful day!

This is very inspiring, Mary. I am always amazed on how much we can store in a closet. It does not look like a lot until you take them out. I can't wait to see your finished project. Good luck!..Christine

Hi Girlfriend...

How clever of you! To design and make a crafting place out of the closet area! Wow...such a huge closet too! That's pretty cool...considering alot of older homes have small or no closets at all! I'm just ecstatic for you...you deserve a place to call your own...a place to create!!! Keep us posted on the progress! I love this idea!!!

Love ya,
Chari
