I love the covered candy dish with the beautiful handpainted rose garland.I did pay more for this piece as I just fell in love with those roses. I think it was about $25.
Milkglass comes in all kinds of patterns- my favorite is hobnail. I picked up the pretty vase farthest back and to the left last summer for $5.
The cake plate was my hubby's grandmother's and I use it and all these pieces all the time.
If you are wanting to start a pretty collection I encourage you to think about collecting milkglass. You will soon find that you have a lovely collection and it won't be harsh on your pocket book!

I've never seen such a beautiful collection! You have some wonderful pieces of milkglass. I have a few pieces - like 3. :) Pamela

What a lovely collection! Thanks for stopping by. If you are trying to grow tomatoes in CO...it may be best to use a raised bed filled with rich humus. Hybrid choices could be "Celebrity" or "Northern Exposure". Heirlooms: "Brandywine" or "Red Siberia". J'adore French tomatoes such as "Marmande" which could work for you. So many choices!
Wags, Niki
Love milk glass too. You do have some wonderful pieces.
My dd gave me a beautiful shoe with a top.

I can see why you had to have the piece with the darling garland. I have a small collection and I love it The hobnail is also my favorite. Visiting from a delightsome life. Now a new follower. Congrats on 800 followers. I am doing a give away for 300 followers. Hop over and see if you're interested. Have had some people say they can't bring up the post. Hi Mary,
You have a beautiful collection of milkglass. I only have one piece, can you believe that?
I loved your comment and yes, I have been looking for new things to grow this year. I want to try a couple of new roses that I have been looking at on the internet, but am worried about their hardiness. One of them is Sally Holmes. I am also planning a new bed for along the front walk. I can hardly wait.
hugs from here...
Hi Mary!
I love white anything and the milkglass pieces are so pretty! Sweet collection you have!
Congratulations on your 800+ followers :) I am not joining your giveaway as the same company contacted me a while ago.
I enjoyed reading your "about" page. The Complete Green Letters was a book I read many times many years ago. It is still on my book shelf!
So nice stopping by to visit with you!
Kindly, Lorraine
Love your milk glass collection, Mary. My favorites are hobnails too but I also really like your covered compote with flowers. You know I am not sure if Halle will grow baby teeth again in those spots. I guess we'll find out after a few years...Christine

So beautiful all grouped together Mary! That pedestal lidded dish with the flowers has my name all over it *winks* I also love that you use it. Your hubby's Grandmother would be so proud! Vanna
I've been pondering on ideas for my new apartment, and you have given me a wonderful idea! Not only it's simplistic, but it is also chic. Off to find some milkglass this weekend! =)
Hello Mary, I adore Milk Glass! It is the first thing my daughter started to collect to decorate her home - perfect for new brides! Thank you for sharing with Home and Garden Thursday!

I agree Mary, milkglass is so pretty plus you can create a beautiful collection and not have to spend a ton of money. It mixes and matches so well with other pieces. Thank you for joining TTF and have a great weekend!
My Mom has a large collection of milk glass packed away. I think I will have to see if she will let me unpack and look at it.
I am charmed by your pieces!

I love milkglass! And it's making quite the comeback too :) Thanks for sharing.
I have a few pieces. Mostly things my mother had except the opalescent hobnail dish that used to sit on her dresser. I think she said it was a dusting powder dish and somehow the lid broke. I've looked into collect opalescent Hobnail but it can be very expensive. You have a very nice collection.~Ames
Your collection is beautiful, I love the hobnail vases. Milk glass is fun, cheap and great for all seasons!
