How to Make an Apple Blossom arrangement

Spring has arrived with Apple Blossoms!

Oh I wish this were true but alas it is still cold and windy here in CO. I have decided that if Spring won't come outside I can help it come inside the house at least!
Doesn't this look so realistic - not at all like the silk flowers that they are!
Want to know how I did it?

Ever since I found and featured Susie's  realistic Cherry blossoms I knew I had to try this idea.

First  find your urn or vase you will use.  I used this urn that I had given a face lift lift awhile back-
and some branches around the yard.  I used the same branches that I used for my fall mantel (I forgot to take a picture of them before adding the apple blossoms

Place a piece of florist oasis in the urn- if a clear vase just stick the dead branches in the vase.

I used 3 sprays of apple blossoms for 2 matching urns so cut the 3rd spray into 2 equal sprays.
Take off a dozen or so of the apple blossoms from the sprays and set aside.
Spread out the individual branches and insert the Apple blossoms into the urn or vase.
My branches had little knobs or tiny stems so I could simply gently push the individual blossom
on the dead branches.  You could also use a little hot glue if you need to

Simple as that !
I love my touch of Spring and am moving these pretties all over the house.

Would love to see how you are bringing Spring to your home!

My hubby and I are looking at going to Portland for a conference in the near future and I am wondering about great little shops, secret treasure sites, you know, places that you would love to see.
I would be SSSSOOOOO grateful if you could give me a heads up.
We seldom go places and I would love to fully experience the wonders of Portland and area!
Several have reminded me about Monticello and The Barn- Thank you!!
We love old architecture and historic sites too- any great sites along that line?

Hi Mary,
Your apple blossoms look wonderful! You know, I did that same thing a few years ago and you've inspired me to do it again! Funny how we forget some fun ideas over the years. I'm glad you shared your blossoms and I'm sure others will adopt your idea into their own decorating schemes. Hope you're having a wonderful week.

Blessings,
Sandi

So lovely to hear from you dearest, and your flowers in the urn, simply beautiful. I have always thought that the silk flowers looked so nice, but the stem are awful, your trick solved that, didn't it? I will have to try this myself, 'cus I could sure use a bit of Spring right now. While Spring is coming, we won't see green grass until mid-April. I can't wait. Blessings ~ Eileen @ Stars Fault

Hi Mary,
Thank you so much for your sweet visit. I am so honored that you want to share my blog in your Saturday segment! That would be wonderful!

I too see my antique booth as a creative outlet and an excuse to shop! As long as I make enough money to spend a few Saturdays out estate saling and thrift shopping, I am happy! And I have met some truly wonderful friends along the way!

I look forward to following your blog! Thank you once again for featuring me! I am beyond excited!

Best wishes and blessings,
Amanda
